Passwords you generate

Passwords, passphrases and PINs are generated in your browser, by a generator that's isolated from the rest of the page and can't make network requests. They're never sent to us or anyone else, and we have no way to see them.

Settings

Your generator options (for example, length and character types) are saved in your browser's local storage so they persist between visits. They stay on your device. Clear your browser's site data to remove them.

Hosting

This site, and the generator frame served from gen.passwordanvil.org, are served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure how fast pages load. It records things like the page you visited, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, your country, and page-load timings. According to Cloudflare, it sets no cookies and doesn't track you across websites. It runs only on this site's pages, never inside the password generator, which no script on the page can read.

Cookies and advertising

The site currently sets no cookies and shows no advertising. If that changes, this policy will be updated before it does, and where the law requires it we'll ask for your consent.
